Artists & Conversation: Creators of Five Masterworks Talk About Tradition and Innovation in Art

The Nova Scotia Masterworks Awards Foundation hosts a free, public panel discussion with Creators of the Finalists each year. Representatives from each of the 2016 Masterworks Arts Award Finalists will be coming together to discuss and share their thoughts on tradition and innovation in art at the 2016 edition of Artists & Conversation.

Facilitator: Anthony Black

Anthony Black is a versatile artist who for 17 years has worked as a writer, director, actor, designer and as artistic co-director of Halifax’s internationally acclaimed 2b theatre company, which creates and tours original productions nationally and internationally.  His plays and productions have toured extensively across Canada and around the world and have received invitations to the Sydney Festival, Perth Festival, Luminato, PuSH, Magnetic North, Cork Midsummer, LitLive (Mumbai), Spoleto, and Under the Radar, among others. Anthony is a mentor to emerging artists, and feels a commitment to contribute to the growth and cultural life of his home city, Halifax.
