Richard Kroeker has a design practice in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. His work focuses on issues related to cultural continuity and environmental response. He has done work with indigenous communities whose culture and physical environment are under threat from external forces. He is interested in the strategies adopted by cultures with close links to the natural world as an important precedent for the contemporary practice of architecture, and an important source of information about who we are and where we are.
