You’re Invited!

What do a director, author, and composer have in common?

On September 20, 2017, you’re invited to find out as Ashley McKenzie, Donna Morrissey, and Dinuk Wijeratne talk about art at this free, public panel discussion and reception.

The panelists are Creators of the 2017 Finalists for the $25,000 Masterworks Arts Award: The Deception of Livvy Higgs, by writer Donna Morrissey; Polyphonic Lively, by composer Dinuk Wijeratne; and Werewolf, by director Ashley McKenzie and producer Nelson MacDonald.

The Conversation will be facilitated by Susanne Chui.

This will be the 6th annual Artists and Conversation. The event is free, and always will be. Please, RSVP:

The 2017 Facilitator:

Susanne Chui

A central figure in Halifax’s contemporary dance community, Susanne Chui moves fluidly between dancing, choreographing and improvising. She has collaborated with Jacinte Armstrong, Cory Bowles, Lesandra Dodson, Rachael Franco, Ruth-Ellen Kroll Jackson, Lisa Phinney Langley as well as dancing in Live Art Dance Productions’ Ear I Am with Belgium-based choreographer Barbara Mavro Thalissitis. Susanne also dances for Verve Mwendo Dance Company, Gwen Noah Dance and is a co-founder of SiNS (Sometimes in Nova Scotia) dance.

Susanne is a co-Creator of 2016 Masterworks Winner Canvas 5 x 5, and co-artistic director of its producer, Mocean Dance.
