The Nova Scotia Masterworks Arts Awards Foundation warmly welcomes all to attend the seventh annual “Artists & Conversation” panel discussion and reception, taking place September 17th, 2018, at 6:00 PM in the Paul O’Regan Hall of the Halifax Central Library. Masterworks is delighted to have partnered with the Halifax Public Libraries to present this year’s event.

“Artists & Conversation” features Creators of the 2018 Finalists for the $25,000 Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia Masterworks Arts Award. The 2018 Finalists are:
“And I Alone Escaped To Tell You” by author Sylvia D. Hamilton;
“Black Cop” by filmmaker Cory Bowles;
“Crazy Girl Crazy” by conductor and soprano Barbara Hannigan;
“In the Wide Awe and Wisdom – Choral Works by Paul Halley” by composer Paul Halley; and
“Old Stock: A Refugee Love Story” by director Christian Barry, composer Ben Caplan, and playwright Hannah Moscovitch.
Hamilton, Bowles, Halley, Barry, and Moscovitch will be attending in-person, and Hannigan will be participating in the discussion from abroad.
The Conversation will be facilitated by Dustin Harvey, theatre maker, and Nova Scotia Masterworks Awards Foundation board member.
