Katie Belcher has made her home in Nova Scotia since receiving a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (2007). Her drawings have been exhibited nationally and internationally, most recently En faisant at HERMES Cooperative (Halifax, NS) and In time’s furrows, at Queen Street Studios (Belfast, Northern Ireland). She has received both provincial and federal grants, and participated in residencies in Canada and Europe—most notably the Canada Council for the Arts studio at the Cité Internationale des arts (Paris, France, 2012). In addition to her artistic practice, Katie works as a curator and arts administrator, currently directing Eyelevel Gallery, an artist-run centre in Halifax, Canada.
